Cambridge (Mass), October 2, 2019 — Portal Instruments is delighted to be showcasing the latest developments in its connected, needle-free drug delivery platform at PODD 2019 in Boston on October 7-8th, 2019.   Patrick Anquetil will be presenting an update at 2:50pm on Monday October 7th. Visitors can also stop by booth #26 to see a live demonstration of the needle-free injector and see first hand how Portal is disrupting the drug delivery space.

Portal Instruments’ novel drug delivery system consists of a reusable, connected jet-injector and a single-use, cartridge pre-filled with medication. The system is designed to allow patients to self-administer medications at home without the hassle and complication of handling needles.  The injector can be connected to adherence and support tools to provide near real-time notification of injection status, with the goal to drive adherence.

Portal is building on its first successful commercial partnership with Takeda. The company is currently in its Verification and Validation phase of development, having successfully completed its Design and Development phase earlier this year. This is an important milestone for the company as it places Portal firmly on the road to commercialization and the delivery of a world class product to patients. Portal will be seeking additional pharma partners at the conference.

PODD: Partnership Opportunities in Drug Delivery takes place October 7-8, 2019 at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel in Boston, MA.
