Austin, Texas – The Advisory Board of SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards has selected Portal Instruments to be a finalist in its Health, Med & Biotech category. Five finalists were selected in each of thirteen distinct categories which range from biotech to smart cities to digital security and beyond. Portal Instruments will be exhibiting its transformative needle-free delivery system at the Finalist Showcase. During this time, the Advisory Board of SXSW Interactive and Innovation Awards will determine the winner in each of the thirteen categories, in addition to a Best of Show recipient.
Founded in 1987, SXSW is best known for its conference and festivals that celebrate the convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries. SXSW Interactive is focused on emerging technology, a focus which has earned the festival a reputation as a breeding ground for new ideas and creative technologies and gives credence to the idea that the most unexpected discoveries happen when diverse topics and people come together. “This recognition from a diverse and innovative community is a privilege and confirms our conviction that we are (re)moving the needle on an important unmet need for patients with chronic disease,” says Patrick Anquetil, CEO of Portal Instruments.
The Finalist Showcase is scheduled for Sunday, March 12, 2017 between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM at the Hilton Austin Downtown hotel. The Awards Ceremony will take place on Tuesday March 14. Come meet the team and become a partner in Portal Instruments’ quest to transform and revamp the patient experience for self-administration of injectable therapies in the home!
